Dewey eyes

Two pearls lost
No oyster can compete
Roses buds dimmed
From chill of the sea
Porcelain to paste

Welcoming kisses
Poisoned with frost
Locks of starlight
Irrevocably dark
Deaf to the delight
Of favorite morning lark
Bedsheets of brown
Lovers of worms
Never aware of
When death and joy turned
Blissful in forever
Where laughter has fled
Tears perform the final washing
Of her peaceful, empty head.

Mmph. This is awesome. I really liked the fourth stanza, and the entire poem, with the short lines and great mental images, was just lovely.
